Course Art and Politics in BAK, a base for art, knowledge, and the political

23 Octobre-27 Novembre – I participate in the course of six weeks about the relationship between contemporary art and politics. Catch words: Interregnum, Commons, Monsters. We got an assignment: a Foto essay with six photo’s, in response to the course. I will use this to formulate for myself what I will investigate forthcoming year regarding Painting. We had to choose the first photo from our phone or I pad (from last month) as a start. See below mine.

Open Studio’s Utrecht

7 and 14th of Octobre many Utrecht artists opened doors. About 300 visitors were in the building at Kleine Geertekerkhof 6. I was glad that I have the possibility to rent such a beautiful studio this year. Received great comments on my paintings.

Masterclass University of the Arts in Berlin

19-21 juli I participated in the masterclass of Valérie Favre, at the University of the Arts in Berlin.

To see, interpretate, give (could be a painting). Classic works of art in the Gemälde Museum and contemporain artist Cy Twombly in Hamburger Bahnhof as two proposed positions from where we took pieces with us to our own practice at home. No painting done, but we shared stories, work, made drawings and a gesamtkunstwerk.
